Tax Saving Idea of the week! - Off-payroll working rules (IR35)

The IR35 rules are changing on 6 April 2021 for certain private businesses. From this date, private sector employers hiring individuals that operate through their own Personal Service Company will be responsible for correctly determining the tax status of the worker and ensuring that they are put on the payroll if necessary. There are concerns that employers may seek to put such workers on the payroll as a default which can have a negative impact on the worker.

We can help employers to correctly determine the tax status of workers to mitigate the risks of HMRC investigations resulting in tax adjustments, interest and penalties.

As always, the key to successful tax planning is to seek advice as early as possible.
